‘Metamorphosis’
@ Beiteddine Festival

This is a visual series of transformative sequences expressing Kafka's Metamorphosis.

This collection of students’ works follows a tradition that dates back to 1987 at ALBA.
The spectacle, which forms the year’s curriculum, demonstrates the students’ ability to engage with space, light, color, and emotion—and how these elements interact simultaneously.

This narrative shows an articulated series of transformative sequences representing a metamorphosis. The project manifests itself through a myriad of emotional landscapes: students experiment in order to form an innovative idea that evolves continuously throughout each sequence.

Design schematic for a costume called 'insectify', inspired by an insect's exoskeleton, featuring an armor suit with detailed plates, a progressional diagram of the suit's construction, and a person demonstrating the costume in a contorted pose fitting into a narrow space.
Diagram illustrating a mechanical device inspired by a cartoon scene, showing three movements involving a person's legs, a lever, and small wheels to control horizontal motion, accompanied by cartoon images of a grey dog chasing a ball on a golf course.
